Anti-Oppression (PeerNetBC):
PeerNetBC will be offering an interactive workshop centred around anti-oppression where participants will create a shared understanding of the words tossed around when speaking about diversity. Through group discussions and experiential learning, participants will examine individual and systemic barriers, expectations and norms, and will broaden their perspectives about accessibility, inclusion, power and privilege.

Migrant Justice and Anti-Migrant Racism
Check Your Head is an organization dedicated to educating and empowering young people to engage in social, environmental, and economic justice movements and to create a more equitable, democratic, and sustainable future. At OWOH 2020, Check Your Head will be delivering an interactive workshop on migrant justice featuring arts-based activities, experiential learning from migrants and activists, and interactive histories. This workshop seeks to help participants better understand immigration and give them the tools to break down anti-migrant racism and colonial stereotypes.
Social Justice Action Planning
Check Your Head will be also offering a Social Justice Action Planning workshop, where attendees will have the opportunity to dig deep into the issues they care about, identify why they are important, and plan concrete, effective, meaningful, and actionable projects addressing these issues. This interactive workshop is perfect for participants looking to take action on global issues and start or take further steps in their social justice action projects. Come out to learn how you can create solutions to issues you are passionate about while ensuring they are equitable and completed using an anti-oppression framework.
